The crime situation picture 2023 was presented on April 4, 2024 by District Administrator Hans-Jürgen Petrauschke and the head of the police department PD Heidi Fahrenholz.

With 30,086 registered crimes, the police crime statistics show an increase in total crimes in the Rhine district of Neuss (+12.1%). More than half of all crimes were solved (53.2%). But that is no reason to sit back and relax. As the police, we continue to work on consistently prosecuting crimes and, above all, preventing them before they happen.

The police in the Rhine district of Neuss held 1,686 prevention events and victim counseling sessions. 
A total of 11,553 suspects were identified in 2023.
