Traffic accident when turning

(jd) On Wednesday (20.11.), a 73-year-old man from Löhn was driving his Kia on Bergkirchener Straße towards Besebrucher Straße at around 5.05 pm. At the junction with Vockenweg, he intended to turn left. Due to an oncoming truck, he initially braked his vehicle before initiating the turning maneuver. In doing so, he collided with a 71-year-old woman from Löhn, who was on a footpath on Bergkirchener Straße and wanted to follow it in the direction of Besebrucherstraße. The woman crashed onto the road and was slightly injured. She was taken to a nearby hospital by ambulance.
