(um) Yesterday (25.07.), at around 4.25 p.m., a 21-year-old was riding a light motorcycle on Lübbecker Straße in the direction of Enger. At Kämpenweg, the "young driver" came across a convoy of vehicles stopped in front of him due to traffic. Initially, the light motorcyclist from Bielefeld drove past the waiting queue. He then broke off in oncoming traffic and swerved to the right between a truck and a car. The car braked for traffic reasons. To avoid a rear-end collision, the young driver drove to the right onto the hard shoulder where a pedelec rider from Kirchlengern was riding. At the same time, the pedelec rider was riding in the direction of Eickum. The two vehicles came into contact, causing the 16-year-old to fall onto the road and sustain minor injuries. The "young drivers" age group between 16 and 25 is overrepresented in the accident statistics compared to the proportion of the population and is always a particular focus of police accident investigations.
