Every first working day of the week, usually on Monday morning, an overview map is published on the internet in which crime scenes (completed and attempted burglaries in the district) are marked. The exact locations (street names and house numbers) are not visible for data protection reasons.

This radar allows citizens to find out about burglaries in the district. We also offer this service on Facebook and Instagram.

The yellow pins show attempted burglaries and the red pins show completed burglaries. If not all districts of the Rhine district are shown, the police have no reports for these geographical areas.

As before, you will find detailed information on current burglaries in the daily press releases published via the press portal. Here we explicitly point out descriptions of persons, appeals for witnesses, methods of committing the crime, loot and arrests.

Criminal Investigation Department 14, based in Neuss, processes all domestic burglaries in the district centrally in order to quickly identify and successfully combat crime series and (supra-regional) connections. If you make any suspicious observations in your residential area, please do not hesitate to call the emergency number (110) immediately to pass on your information directly to the police.

A look at the police crime statistics shows that you can protect yourself against domestic burglaries. More than 40 percent of all domestic burglaries get stuck at the attempted stage, which is not least due to existing security systems.
